Carving Pumpkins!

Ian and I stayed up late the night before Halloween to get our carving done on our pumpkins! Ian obviously spent more time on his intricate detailing...but I'm equally satisfied with my end result. Some of you may want to critique our pumpkins...so they aren't those neat looking carving patterns that make your pumpkin carving look professional, but they are origianl and in my opinion quite creative! Ian always amazes me with his unique techniques :) Just for the record everything done was with a regular kitchen knife, and marker. Reminds me of the good ol' days....ah that's the way pumpkin carving is supposed to be right?! Its all about your leaving your personal touch. Now tell me how those stencils give you that. That's what I thought ;)

Now feast your eyes upon our work! lol.

Ian intently working on his pumpkin :)

And me....Yeah I'm just a little bit short of sleep can you tell? haha Don't hold it against me.

Okay so here's the finished product.......

And now for the full effect!

Are we good? Or are we good?! Right. haha. Ah. how I love Halloween.

Update!

So I see everyone has been keeping up on their blogs I finally decided I had some catching up to do! So here's an update on what we have been up to the last few months.....
In July we drove to Idaho Falls to attend James & Tiffanie's Wedding

We camped for the weekend and had a blast! Our campsite had showers/and bathrooms (so that's how we still looked civilized for the wedding, in case you were wondering) It also was a bonus that at the main office they served all you can eat pancakes every morning! Freakin awesome if you ask me....

Then after the wedding we stayed to check out the city of Idaho Falls, this is a picture in front of the falls with the beautiful temple in the background!

In August we took a trip to Bear Lake with the newly married Eldridges, and the Biehls to go boating!

and camping....Then watching the pickleville playhouse showing of the hanging of the great bandito! (we didn't get any pictures of that or else I'd post them) It was hilarious!

Then the first week on September we drove to Hatch to help the Eldridges work on their cabin! We had so much fun!

With it now being October, it has been exciting decorating for Halloween at home and at the Pediatrician's Office! Can't wait for little trick-or-treaters! If we are lucky we might even get to throw a halloween dinner with friends! I love October :)

We made a point to go to pioneer village and get an old time photo done too!

THE BIG MOVE!

So Ian and I have officially moved down from Logan and now live off Fort Union! We LOVE our new apartment and have gotten most things unpacked and put away by this point. Ian has been busy on a new painting job, and I just started my new job at Famous Dave's. Life is already in transition and new to us, but we love it! We are closer to family and excited for the different life style that we have been used to for the past year. We are sad to leave some of our friends in Logan, but happy that we are in the heart of everything again!

Easter!

For Easter Ian and I drove to Draper to be with the families for the holiday. We had an Easter egg hunt w/ our nephews and neices, Ian and I were part of hiding the eggs :) Then after lots of food and goodies the girls decided they wanted to have a fire and roast marshmallows. So Ian and I stayed out with the girls and shared scary stories till it was time to go home. We all had a great time, and the following day we spent some time with my side of the family.

A New Car!

Okay so I'm a little late getting this post up, but Ian and I sold the Chev Silverado we had and were looking to find a less expensive truck for Ian to drive. So he had been looking for quite some time and hadn't found anything that was going to work out after he sold the Chev. Well, I went to Park City for a weekend for a friends birthday party and when I came back there was a new vehicle sitting in the driveway....Ian had been telling me all weekend that he was working on a project for me and that I was going to be so surprised! Well, I pull up and give him a hug and kiss for being away so long, and then he tells me that this new vehicle is mine!!! I was so excited! I had a honda civic before, which i loved, but my new isuzu amigo has four wheel drive, mudd tires, and is a lot taller than the car! I have been loving it ever since! We sold my honda just a few days ago, and Ian found I truck he really likes! So things are going pretty well for us and we are just enjoying life! We can't wait for the weather to warm up so that we can take our vehicles out fourwheeling and go camping in the mountains!

Convergy's!

I got a job! I recieved a call Monday afternoon saying they're going to need people sooner than March (Like they originally said) and would like to offer me a position if I'm still interested! It has still taken some time to let it set in. I have been looking for a job all day everyday for so long now that it feels weird not to! I still get on workforce services and ldsjobs.org just out of habit! Yesterday I went in to fill out the new hire paperwork (taxes, etc.) and that made it feel a little more official! I am so so happy to start on Monday! I can't wait to be working again! I know that must sound crazy to most of you...but I really am so excited!
