Easter

For Easter Ian and I slept in till 10 (can't miss conference!) and then had a delicious breakfast of eggs and hashbrowns.  In between conference we found our Easter baskets and then went to his parents.

While the second session of conference played Jade, Mom, and I filled plastic eggs full of candy for the little ones.  Then we had an Easter dinner with the family and afterwards the kids went on their
egg hunt!

Then G-ma surprised all the kids with a bunch of new Easter gifts!

Baby Showers!

Our computer was down for a good 4 weeks or so...which is why I am now just posting this...but here are the pictures of what kept me busy for weeks prior!  I hosted a baby shower for Tiffanie and then co-hosted a shower for Ashley the week after! Congrats to these beautiful mommy's-to-be!

Tiffanie and I at her shower

At Tiff's shower we all had to make a baby out of playdough, this was the end result!

I may have gotten carried away with the baby theme....;)

Best Day at Work

Before I get to the reasons why, I would just like to say that we work VERY hard at South Summit and our jobs are NOT easy by any means.  So with that said here is why yesterday was so awesome.

  • It was FRIDAY!
  • I left for work early
  • I only had 4 appointments to call on for tomorrow
  • It was only Emily and I in the morning so we got to work side by side!
  • It was quiet
  • Kimi was coming in after lunch (I rarely work with her! but I love her!)
  • Emily and I ate pizza for lunch, not only that, but we ate it in the front office together. (which you may not realize why this is so fun, but we NEVER get to eat together and definately not in the front! It was AWESOME :)
  • after Kimi came in we ate more food and all three of us devoured a 7 layer bean dip :)
  • We were probably not at our PEAK of productivity for the week, but we did manage to have a few good "girl "discussions that were much needed :)
  • And lastly, I got off at six yesterday :) nothing better than getting out before closing...
Oh and did I mention the work baby shower is this weekend?  Oh yeah...it's gonna be GOOOD!  Three pregnant women and a riot full of friends and fun.  Can't wait :)

Life's Little Pleasures

Last weekend we went to the cabin with our friends James and Tiffanie. When we got there the snow was almost to the top of the fence! It then snowed everyday while we were there! So fun!  Tiffanie and I made delicious meals for our hubbies and we all loaded up on Cadbury Eggs, Elfudge Cookies, Diet Coke (minus Tiff of course! Not good for babies!), and lots of other yummy treats!  Tiff and I spent the days watching chick flicks, painting our nails, and just talking and relaxing.  Ian and James on the other hand went ice fishing everyday! (I still don't understand it...)

This is Ian and James just before headed out for their first trip of the weekend

Loading up the Toyota.

This is our Family's Cabin!

Then this weekend....Ian and I got something very special....

Our new addition!  We were lucky enough to have this given to us by my work! They are buying a new TV for the office and gave this to us :)

Some of the other things this week that have made me happy....

-Ian got the tub cleaner than I have ever seen it...I still am baffled at how he did it.

-The girls at my work...I just love them.

-Little kids at the office facinated by the fish guys while they clean the tank

-We sold our Subaru!

-Our cat jumped in the bath tub full of water and ran out soaking wet! Hilarous.

-I finally made it costco and loaded up on our favorite foods!

-Ian visiting me at work on my lunch breaks after school and looking out over the valley while we eat PB&J's

It's easy to forget the little things that makes life a pleasure.  Don't take for granted the things that make you smile every day.  I am so grateful for these things :)

Life is good.

Valentine's Day!

Earlier in the week a friend and I got together to make something special for our hubbies in celebration of Valentines.  This is what we made....

 Don't they look just delicious?

We also used ice cube makers as molds for these delicious chocolate hearts with our left over chocolate.

As an extra special treat I made these heart sugar cookies (that I brought to girl's night when we had a Valentine making party!) and also gave some to the ladies at my work ;)

These are the Valentines I made at the party! (Great idea mom and sisters!)

This was my Valentine gift above from my hubby.....

and this was my Valentine gift to him! (plus all the yummy goodies I made of course!)

I was able to have Friday and Saturday off this week so Ian and I made a list of all the fun things we could do and then had fun spending all day each day together! I could think of no better way to spend Valentine's Weekend :)  Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Holidays, Parties, and Celebrations!

Well, although I'm short a lot of picures, I suppose it's best to start where we left off....soon after out anniversary was CHRISTMAS!  Unfortunately, Ian and I were both sick with the stomach flu Christmas morning and couldn't leave the house to visit family and open gifts!  We did however exchange each others gifts in front of a warm fire :)  I gave Ian a steering wheel for our jeep, a new zip up hoodie, and a wallet.  He gave me jewelry, and an adorable couple figurine (It's my absolute favorite!)

My parents came over later that morning and we exchanged gifts.  We were lucky enough to recieve a brand new comforter to fit our bed we bought a while ago.  The rest of the day we just slept, and slept, and slept.  Not very eventful, but it's all we could manage to do.  Over the next few days we managed to visit Mom and Dad Fisher, and the grandparents.  All in all it was a good Christmas even though we didn't get to experience it the day of.

Next up was New Years!  We were able to enjoy a weekend with the Fisher Family in Midway at a condo at the Homestead.  All the neices and nephews were there.  It was WONDERFUL!  All day kids running around everyone laughing and tons of time at the pool!  Lenda {Layne-Da} successfully swam around the pool with only floaties on her arms!  Mara managed to put together a floating bed made from water weenies.  Talli had fun jumping from hot tub to swimming pool and back again.  Fish and Linc tried out their first time in the pool!  It didn't go over quite as well as hoped I'm sure, but they were still just as cute as ever!  We also got to visit a crater and ice castles! New Years Eve the kids spent the night playing and watching movies, building up pillow cushions then jumping into them!  The adults had just as much fun staying up playing games till almost 3 in the morning and enjoying the famous SLUSH that Ma Fisher makes.  When New Year's struck at midnight, though, we all made a point to go out and pop off poppers, parade around in our fancy hats, and blow our party favors!  What a perfect start to 2010!

Then the other day I came home to find.....

A FULLY FINISHED BED!
Thanks to Abby and Jon we now have the last needed addition to make our new King sized bed complete.  Lucky for us they had a spare head and footboard bed set and graciously offered it to us! Thanks so much you guys!  Put together with our new comforter and king size pillows from Christmas it's just perfect!

Then last but not least Friday was the Jane Austen Party at the Fisher Home!  It was so much fun!  Abby made a delicious copy of Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana Soup.  We also had a selection of goodies such as crumpets, cucumber sandwiches, chocolate sandwiches, cookies, cheesecake, and not to mention a wide variety of herbal teas complete with fancy teacup and saucer.  Did I mention there were also decorative dishes full of lemon drops, sugar cubes, lemons, mints, and various other goodies to add to your tea to make it just right!  At the party we also learned about fan etiquette and the lost language used by women in the old days with the fans.  Each woman was given an inspirational bracelet and flower, and we even did a Jane Austen quiz! So much fun!  Next month?  Pajama Party making Valentines! Oh I can't wait! :)

2 Year Anniversary!!

For our two year anniversary Ian and I went to our old home town Logan, UT.  We enjoyed a sleigh ride visiting the Elk at Hardware Ranch

Then we spent a romantic evening over dinner at Le Nonne Italian Restaurant

This wasn't our meal (we of course do NOT drink wine) but to give you an idea of how GOOD their food looks & tastes!

Visit their website at http://www.lenonne.net/ to check out their menu
Ian had the Spaghettini Del Ortolano & I had the Ravioli de Pollo alla Marinara, both were delicious!
We also have tried the Pennette Alla Pera which has definately hit the top as one of our favorites!

We also spent time visiting our favorite places in Logan and driving through the town talking about all our memories.  A special thanks to our friends who hooked us up with a complimentary room for two nights at one of the housing dorms.  It was like living there all over again.  What a memorable experience! :)
