The revealing...

This is me @ 18 Weeks

On Monday Ian and I had our ultrasound appointment to see how the baby was doing and possibly find out the sex :) So Sunday evening I was busy baking...and this is what I dropped off to our family and friends Monday night...

A plate of unidentified cupcakes and a poem that said:

 And the answer?....Blue!

That's right we are having a BOY!
(well the blue turned out more like green) ha ha. (I should have realized that's what would happen when you mix blue food coloring and yellow cake mix ...how could I forget my primary colors?..oh well you get the idea) ;)

PS. In case you were wondering how I knew to bake blue cupcakes SUNDAY night before the ultrasound....well, I didn't. Which is why I had "pink" cupcakes my work so happily devoured and teased me for on Tuesday :) lol.

Boating!...well sort of ;)

On Saturday we (Ian, his sister Jade, and I) decided to take our boat out and spend a day just relaxing on the water :) It was so nice since I can't really "go boating" yet being still early in my pregnancy. So we just went slow and then floated on the lake.  We sat on our tube, went swimming, and even tried taking the tube out behind the boat a couple of times :) I of course went really slow while on it and hung halfway in the water. ha ha! We had so much fun though and the weather was perfect!

Although, at the end of the day I was in charge of backing the boat trailer down the dock...and I wasn't very good at it. ha ha I'm pretty sure everyone was laughing at me as I fishtailed my way down! Thanks to Jade's directing I finally got it centered and we got the boat loaded okay :) I guess I need more practice for the future!

It was cold!

I hope we will still be able to have ONE MORE TIME out on the boat this year. Next weekend maybe? :D

Boy or Girl?

So we go in NEXT Monday for our ultrasound and hopefully we will be able to see what our baby is! I am counting down the days! Just one week away! Any guesses on what you think it will be and a name for the gender you pick?! We want some names to start tossing around :)

Day Off

I have today off!!! I'm so excited :) I haven't had a day off in a long time...and the last time I did,  it was so I could work on the house before we moved in. So I didn't do much relaxing but rather a lot of hard work!
So today I slept in...made myself a breakfast of hashbrowns, sausage, egg and a glass of OJ :)

I have big plans for today. I feel like there are so many things I can do!! I may...

Do the Dishes

Wash some laundry

Vacuum the house

Clean out our office for the baby's room

Go to the bank

Write in my journal

Go to the Salon

Look at rocking/reclining chairs

Price out Strollers

Take a nap :)

Prepare Dinner EARLY! :):)

Some of these things may not sound very fun to you...but most of them are things I don't always have time to do and I am looking forward to getting some of them finally done! Well...off to my lovely day of being OFF!

PS. I'm also excited because I have worked every other Saturday this summer, and now I am finally done! I will have every Saturday to do as I please from now until the baby comes :) I'm so happy.

12 & 16 Weeks

12 Weeks

16 Weeks

I definately feel pregnant by this point. My belly has become noticeably larger over the past few weeks and that has already started to throw my center of gravity off a bit.  I notice I am not as balanced as I used to be and I don't feel as agile as before. I get out of breath by walking up the stairs and I feel like my mind has left me...I can't remember things as well :(  Overall though I have been enjoying the start of my second trimester compared to the first.  I feel pretty good and a little more like myself only growing :) Life is great and we can't wait to find out what we are having in a few more weeks!

Ian's B-Day

Ian's 30th Birthday.

Ian's Birthday was in July and after we went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse we enjoyed some chocolate cake and watched Ian open presents. I love my husband and so proud of all he has done. He is such a great guy and handsome too ;) Happy Birthday Honey!

2nd Trimester...& Feeling Better!

Well I am officially out of my first trimester and starting to feel a lot better! I have a lot more energy than I did before and I am back to eating most of the foods I once enjoyed! I'm still a little careful about eating too much of them though so I don't feel sick :) I am happy to start feeling like myself again...well except for one little thing...the bump on my belly just keeps getting bigger! I have a feeling I'm going to be huge!

They say some women carry "in" more than others. Mine is ALL out and there is no hiding it. I see other girls at their 12, 13, and 14 weeks and all I can say is they look like they drank a can of soda compared to me :) ha ha. I love it though, it's exciting to see the growth..even if I have already had to start wearing maternity clothes....at first I was worried I was growing to fast or maybe I was further along than I thought, but we went to the doctor on Monday and he said everything looked and sounded great and I was still right on track!

We finally got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It is such a crazy thing! The baby kept moving while the doctor was trying to listen to the heartbeat. It was kind of neat to think the baby is active and living inside doing his own thing!
