Did you know?

This is where I work :)
.

The Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning Distributor
This is our office/warehouse

This is the awesome team I work with!
 Yes, it is mostly guys.

This is our warehouse full of dealers on Customer Appreciation Day.

The store/showroom

My office :) ha ha. I work the counter and spend most of my day right there!

This is a pic of me (9 months pregnant in NEON GREEN) and two of the guys I work with on a daily basis :)

I am posting this because I love my job and wanted to share with you where I spend 40 hours of my life each week. That, and I have been working at the counter now for the past 8 months, but I just recently accepted my old position back as an Inside Sales Rep. So once I return from my maternity leave I will no longer be apart of all that you see here, but instead in a cubicle with 3 walls around me and a sales team to support.

I am excited for this change.  I have learned a lot working the counter, and have gained many wonderful relationships with the guys that came in on a regular basis. I have acquired a lot more skills and understanding of our processes by working "hands on" in this department, but am looking forward to take what I have learned and carry it back to sales and help bring a new approch to the team. After this transition I will be responsible for training our new hires and assisting my manager with projects as well as my previous duties. I'm looking forward to this opportunity and so happy for the way things mysteriously work out sometimes.

I feel truly blessed in life and this whole experience helped me grow my testimony that our prayers and questions are heard and answered even when you think there is no possible way!

10 Days

I am now 10 Days away from my Due Date! It's crazy for me to think it could be that close, but I am also ready to be done being pregnant. 9 months sure seems to be a long time...and the last few weeks feel like the longest part of it...

On Tuesday I went in for my weekly checkup. At 36 weeks I was dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced, and I have progessivly grown more effaced each week. So on Tuesday at my 38 week appt I was still dilated to a 2 but now 80% effaced. I'm glad that I am progressing but understand it really doesn't mean anything because I could still end up going past my due date and all.

The dr. also measures my uterus at each appointment and throughout my whole pregnancy I have been measuring "behind" compared to the average pregnancy. (Of course everyone is different though) Well, on Tuesday I measured right on. I had somehow made up my short comings in 1 week and grew 4 cm that brought me from 34cm at 37 weeks up to 38cm at my 38th week. I was shocked!

I am wondering if that is part of the reason my back has recently been killing me! I started having a little upper back soreness at the end of last week.  Then over the weekend it took a turn for the worse and left me unable to lift, bend, or feel like I could do anything without causing me pain. So after my appointment my Dr. had me take leave from work until my back pain subsides or if necessary until I deliver. So now here I am on "best rest" so to speak at home trying to take it easy. Even though I still feel like there is a lot I can and should do to prepare for this baby, I think we have come a long way in the past week and half and gotten together all the things we really need.

We have all the big things like the stroller, car seat, swing, of course crib and changing table, as well as a pack and play, and a bassinet for the first month to keep in our room. I have also washed all his clothes and blankets and feel like I have most of his stuff out and ready.

So baby you can come anytime! But if you want to wait until your due date...I'm okay with that too :) I'm still getting used to the idea of being "ready" and I constantly am thinking of more things I can do before you come so that everything is perfect for your special day.

37 Weeks!!! & Nursery Update

37 WEEKS

This is me at 37 weeks (& 3 days)
I'm am officially "full term" and baby can come any day :)

Nursery Update:
Just for a little info/background in case you aren't already aware, we are naming our little boy Boston. When we decided this Ian thought it would be neat to decorate his room like the Boston Red Sox. (sorry in advance for those of you who don't like sports themes)
I liked the idea because it would be fun to be able to buy lots of things with his name on them, and I liked the colors of the Boston Red Sox.  (Dark Blue, Red, and Green)

So thus became the Baseball themed room you see below.

This is the closet door, Ian painted it the color of the "green monster" from Fenway Park.

The "Boston B" hangs above his changing table and I coordinated the baskets red, blue, and brown. The quilt you see hanging on the crib was made by me, my mom, and grandma. The crib was given to us by Ian's sister and was painted red for us when we got it. (It may have played a part in our color influence as well ;)

Here you can see the Boston vinyl wall stickers I got online that has his name, Wally the green monster, and some of the Boston Red Sox Logos.

This is our big puffy rocker/recliner chair that we fell in love with and I posted about months ago.  We found the side table on Black Friday for a killer deal, and when I found the baseball lamp at half price I had to have it to add to the room :)

This is the closet. I'm posting this because I love the drawers Ian found that fit perfectly inside.  We debated about what we should get to keep the baby's clothes in for a long time because there was no space for a dresser. After months of no resolve we put the issue aside (or so I thought) until two days ago to my surprise I came home to these :) I couldn't have been more excited about plastic bins than I was right then. (and they are blue!)

This is that basket/table I found in Logan a while back that I posted about. I still love this piece and am so happy I got it. It will be great to hold all the burp cloths, toys, hats, etc. and I think it fills the odd space between the door and closet very well. I found the bear at Savers and loved it. I think I spent a total of $.97 on it. (I washed it of course) and the books were a Dollar Store Splurge.

All in all I'm very happy with how the Nursery turned out. I think the colors came together even though I was worried they might not!

I don't think it's very typical of what people expect a "nursery" to be, but that's okay. I'm glad to know that these colors and decor will carry with him till he is a toddler and older and I really didn't want his room to look like it came from a catalog where I just picked a set out and bought a,b,c, & d from the page. It also meant a lot to me that Ian was very involved in deciding what we would do in the room and helping me pick out items or come up with ideas for it.

Now we just need to have the little one here to use it! :)

Our newest purchase

Ian & I are now the proud owners of
"The Snugabunny"
I have been eyeing this swing for months now.

So today while I was at work Ian went and picked up our new addition. Tonight he set it up in our living room, and now I can't stop looking at it. It's amazing and I can't wait to be able to put our little one in it once he's here :) I love it!

Family is great.
On Saturday my mom, two grandmas, and mother-in-law threw a shower for me.
First we had soup, rolls, veggies, and tasty eclairs for lunch then opened gifts.
Here are pics of some of my wonderful guests!

My "Aunt" Coreli and her four daughters Katrina, Kirsten, Erica, and Roxanna

Ian's cousin Amy and her daughter

My wonderful sister-in-laws (Jade & Abby) along with Abby's Mother-in-Law, Linda, and my neice Elena.(Ashley is next to Elena, but didn't make it in this pic)

My aunts Kathy & Rita along with my cousin Rebecca came as well, but are not pictured in any photos at their request ;)

We had a huge turn out!! I forget how wonderful family is and how much of it we have! I feel very blessed to have so many people in our life to support us and celebrate with us.

Thank you to my mom especially for all her hard work on this shower, and to my grandmas and in-laws for helping with the details! It was a huge success!

Now for the pics of all the wonderful things our baby has waiting for him when he arrives!

Diaper Genie! Yay!

Awesome blue Bumbo, can't wait to use it!

Our little one was sure spoiled! We received 4 blankets in all, a baby monitor, lots of adorable clothes, shoes, socks, diapers, wipes, and baby hygiene goodies. It was so much fun and we are even more prepared for this little one to come! We almost can't wait!

Here is a funny picture of me after all the gifts were open. I didn't really know they were still taking pictures, but I think it's a nice shot of all the goodies at my feet! lol.

Christmas

Our Christmas Tree lit up.
This was the prettiest tree we have had since we have been married. It was so full I loved having it in the empty corner of our family room. It was perfect.

One of Boss's presents. We LOVE jeep. Can you tell? ;)

The Tree Christmas morning.

One of Ian's present from me. I glued jeep cut outs for his book of ideas. He always has loose pieces of paper with drawings and lists of everything he is working on for his jeep. He is rebuilding a CJ7 so this little notebook will keep all his ideas together in one place :)

Ian's present to me. I guess he noticed I was always complaining about our dull knives ;) These are so great! I was super excited.

This was my surprise Christmas morning. I had no idea he was fixing this up for me. I had bought it at a garage sale over the summer for $7 but the mirror was busted off, and it needed some cleaning and repairs plus a new paint job. Ian refinished the whole thing, fixed the mirror, and put a new handle on it. It's perfect :)

MW3 the big game of the season. This is the first "new" game he has ever owned. ha ha. He was pretty stoked.

Boston's presents from the fam. This kid is already getting spoiled with Christmas gifts and he's not even born yet!!

We had a wonderful Christmas full of friends and family. We were especially surprised by all the wonderful homemade gifts from neighbors this year! It was so fun to have so many goodies at our doorstep each night during the month of December. We loved "popping" by their houses leaving our little gifts as well. We also had a secret family leaving us The Twelve Days of Christmas at our doorstep each night up till Christmas Eve. It was sooo much fun reading their cute poems and seeing what fun things were going to be there when we got home. We were so very blessed this year by our close friends and family. I can't believe it is already over.  We are looking forward to this New Year and what it will bring!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!
